French flax linen is made from the fibres of the flax plant, grown primarily in Western Europe where the cool, damp climate produces some of the world's finest flax. The long, strong fibres create a fabric that's naturally textured, breathable, and gets softer and more beautiful with every wash.
What size are these pillowcases?
Standard size: 48cm x 73cm, which fits a standard pillow. These are sold as a pair of two pillowcases.
How do I wash my linen pillowcases?
Machine wash cold or warm (up to 40°C) with a gentle detergent. Tumble dry on low or line dry — remove while slightly damp to reduce creasing. Linen will look naturally relaxed and slightly creased; this is part of its character, not a flaw. Do not bleach. Gets better with every wash.
Will linen pillowcases feel scratchy?
New linen has a slightly crisp, textured feel that softens significantly after the first few washes. Most people find it comfortable from the start; those who prefer a very smooth feel can try our stonewashed cotton range instead.
